Jane Candia Coleman is the recipient of two Western Heritage Awards for her collection of poetry, No Roof But Sky, and her collection of short fiction, Stories From Mesa Country. She is also the author of The Voices of Doves, a fiction chapbook; Shadows in My Hands, personal essays about the Southwest; and Discovering Eve, a collection of short fiction. Coleman has two forthcoming books, Doc Holliday's Woman, a novel to be released in May of 1995, and The Red Drum: Poetry of the American West, scheduled for release in December of 1994.
A Pittsburgh native, Jane was the co-founder and director of the Carlow College Woman's Creative Writing Center. She now resides on a ranch near the Chiricahua Mountains in Cochise County with her five horses and a bevy of dogs and cats.
