While the Black Mesa [Dziyíjiin] area is just touched on in passing in this document, it has been the site of a second era of relocation for the Navajo people [Diné]. An important document is now available online, Voices from a Troubled Land a book of letters from the Navajo people to the U.S. government, presenting their case for retention of the land that they and their ancestors have lived on for centuries. The letters are accompanied by excellent photographs. I highly recommend this site to you.
