Before joining NOAO in 1988, I was the Five College Observer in Residence at the Wyoming Infrared Observatory.
I was an undergraduate at Villanova University. My graduate studies were at the University of Massachusetts where, among other things, I learned to juggle.
My wife Julie and I were married on the Summer Solstice, 1986, on the lawn of the Amherst College Observatory. We have been graced with two exceptional daughters, Emily and Hannah. Emily has xpainted a lovely picture of a dog, and Hannah of macaroni.
Last year, NOAO had a "Bring Your Child to Work" day, and Emily had her picture taken in the pitch dark with one of the CCD cameras, S1KA.
